About Me

My photo
I was born in Dreux, France and grew up in California. I enjoy and like to take time to study/practice massage, play a variety of games on Wii system, camping, travel, creative expression, personal development and making a difference in someone's day! My greatest passion is my volunteer work with kids.

A Journey of Self-Discovery Through Voice

I've wanted to do something with my voice even as a teenager imagining myself as a disc jockey on a Jazz radio station I even did a recording at Columbia House studios (at the time) in Hollywood. Years later I took a few courses at community college. The Media Performance class with Dave Drexler stimulated my creativity with the variety of projects such as writing scripts and perform a variety of commercials, studio recording time, and much more!

Now faced with unemployment after almost 12 years working for the City of San Diego I'm looking at life much differently and seeing connections to many things I love. You can read my adventures at Magnificent Journey.

For the purposes of this blog my focus is with Voice. You see one of the voice things I desired is to record and read children stories. It's been developing right under my nose. I've been reading to preschool kids with WordsAlive and toying with the idea of doing a Podcast. I have taken my voice more seriously and I'm pleased to be pursuing my Voice Acting career. Join me as I embark on my quest to make a difference in the lives of others with my VOICE!

Where I Stand

...I made the commitment to get the training to aide me in my voice over career. I am 8 weeks into a 32 week program and so far it's been lots of fun. The segments are 30 minutes long. Would like to make more time for practicing especially with the latest acting techniques. I could say I've been really busy with the finishing up with City job and all that goes with it, the Garage Sales, eBay, Swap Meet, etc... but there is really no excuse because this is something I really feel passionate about and this seems like the perfect time in my life to pursue it. I will gradually add more time in (especially once the City job is over with) starting with some read time and getting that podcast going.

This weeks Objectives:
  1. Record the 3 scripts with the emotions covered from last session
  2. Review podcast notes and prepare for first Podcast
  3. Set up voice recording equipment
